I don’t know about you guys, but I love fresh fruit and I love not to spend a lot of money. Currently the Aldi store by my house has been giving me life in the kitchen. As a result of their low prices, it has been living my wallet life too! When ever I can catch fruit on sale for a great price, it results in this delicious fruit salad with lime zest & lime juice.

What fruits should I use to make this delicious fruit salad with lime zest & lime juice?
- Grapes
- Strawberries
- Kiwi
- Lime zest & lime juice
- Oranges
- or any others you make prefer. I love using the fruits listed.
Just talking about what to put into the salad is making me drool. It’s truly delicious. The citrus in the lime helps preserve the fruit for a few days. As a result of using the lime zest and juice, it makes it taste like candy.

I often will serve it with breakfast or dinner, but to snack on it will help curve any sugar addiction you have (speaking on processed sugar, that is). Basically what I am saying is you can have this treat whenever without the guilt.

A little story about kiwi, I never had it growing up. We ate bananas, grapes, strawberries, oranges, watermelon and apples but never really strayed away from them. It wasn’t until I got older that I really began to try new fruits and vegetables. For instance, cilantro. I never ate cilantro growing up, or ginger either. They’re staples in my house now. Eating fresh fruits, vegetables and using fresh herbs makes a world of difference when you’re cooking and eating. If you’re to tell me to try kiwi when I was younger, I would have thought you were crazy. Limes too, we never had fresh limes, or even has lime juice in the house. I wish I knew then what I know now. Luckily, my son is growing up with a ‘fresher’ idea. I can only hope it will continue as he gets older.
