5 Reasons You Need to Dine at SaladWorks | Seeking The Weekend

Atlanta· Eat

25 Jul

In July of 2018, SaladWorks opened their first Atlanta location. My son and I were invited to a sampling before the actual opening and indulged in the healthy goodness that SaladWorks has to offer. With expectation of additional Atlanta-area locations to follow, I have a feeling that SaladWorks is going to become an Atlanta staple. If you need a reason to visit, I compiled 5 reasons to convince you why SaladWorks is making your leafy greens the main course.

I was invited to sample the goodies that SaladWorks has to offer. All my opinions are my own

SaladWorks Chef

SaladWorks chef isn’t just a creator of food. She’s also a Nutritional and Registered Dietitian. This means that the signature creations don’t just taste good, they’re also good for you. Ensuring that the menu is also a healthy option by a trained professional is a bonus in my book.

Fresh Ingredients

What makes food good? Ingredients, of course. They offer an abundance of ingredients to take the average salad to the next level. Getting the freshest ingredients is what they aim for, which is why they try to get their produce from local farmers as much as they can with whatever produce is in season.

They make their own dressings in-house, which means the dressing aren’t packed with a bunch of preservatives. But that doesn’t exclude flavor. The dressing were amazing!

Something For Everyone

If you don’t consider a salad an entrée, then a visit needs to be in the near future for you. Your mind can be easily changed to the greener side. At SaladWorks your salad isn’t the typical salad you’re use to. They have an array of options for meat eaters, pescatarians, vegetarians, vegans, dairy-free and soy free options.

It’s totally okay if salad isn’t your thing too. They won’t hate you, I promise. Wraps, sandwiches, soups, and toasts are a few other options you have to choose from that will curve the rumble in your stomach. Any salad you see or want to create can become a wrap.

Although they don’t currently offer a kid’s menu, they do offer smaller sized options of the salad and wraps that are perfect for children.

Make It Your Own

If you don’t see anything you like on the menu, then just create your own! The options are endless. To start with you can choose your base (grain or lettuce) and add up to 5 toppings. You can add premium toppings (meats, tofu, eggs, shrimp, cheeses, nuts, and more) for an additional charge. You can also add additional toppings for a low-cost of $.49/item.

Cost

You can find the prices comparable to similar ready-to-order restaurants. Unless you added several premium toppings or additional toppings, nothing on the menu is over $10. It’s cost-effective for a healthy meal. I wouldn’t dare compare it to a fast food restaurant that has a cheap menu, the ingredients of the two are in totally different categories and cannot be compared. You pay slightly more for something that’s unprocessed, fresh, taste better and is better for you.

As of July 2018, Atlanta consist of only one SaladWorks. You will see others pop up in the future. Until then, you’ll find them at 2484 Briarcliff Rd NE Suite 34, Atlanta, GA 30329. It’s not necessarily the most convenient for the West Atlantans and far East Atlantans. However, SaladWorks is a great location seeing as it is about 15 minutes from downtown Atlanta. It’s not too far from Gwinnett and in close proximity right inside the perimeter. With the expectations of at least 10 in the potential future, a location will be easily accessible to the whole metro area in the near future.
